Hey, great, I really wanted to be woken up at 7:30 by senior management ringing and asking if we had a game last night. Well, yeah, that’s what the night before’s report said. And the night before that, because we’ve got 7 games in 7 nights. And you’d think that they might just know what time zone the team is in if they’re there for nearly two weeks. A complete PITA, given I was up until 1am putting stuff on the site. My CFS will be thrilled, I’m sure. (It’s partly the fault of our CMS for the website, I think - it’s not very good, and most often you have to delete what you just put up and redo it for it to show on the site. Brilliant…)

Went to the gym this morning after doing an invite list for the season launch later this month. Sat there on the recumbent bike reading a book, then did the small circuit. Felt good.

After that, took my washing out to a small laundry out the back of the hotel. Found it eventually, despite the appallingly bad directions I was given by the team managing director. He should do better :-) Eventually discovered it after asking a policeman, who was very happy to try his English out on me. Turns out I was about 30m from it at that stage. I had a heap of jocks and socks, about 6 polo shirts, 2 pairs of shorts. Cost - $190 ($7.55) Not too bad… That’s a lot of washes before you’ve reached the price of a Miele washer and dryer set…

Walking back from there, I saw this girl (18-19, maybe?) wearing a tee-shirt that said “feel the weight difference”, right under her breasts, with an arrow that went straight up between them. A little strange…

Fish decided no training today to give the boys a break. Spent the whole afternoon blogging and doing photos for the blog. As you’ve seen, there’s quite a few.

Went back to get my laundry at 5. Took a wrong turn and ended up just walking around for about 35 minutes. Was strange to be out there without a camera. I kept thinking I’d left it somewhere…

More blog stuff, then dinner, then off to the game. We’re playing Chinese Taipei, so they made sure they had last night off before coming up against us. There’s sure to be some interesting refereeing tonight…

And there was!! We were still too good, though, and won 100-74, despite it being 8 on 5.

I’ve been helping at shootarounds and training, and was part of the slap-hands-when-going-onto-the-court-when-introduced thing last night, which surprised me immensely.

Shawn, give it to Paul!
