Woke up at 6am with the light coming in the edge of the curtain. Moved a chair up against it, but it didn’t really help. Still went back to sleep until nearly 9, which surprised me immensely.

Checked my email, answered a few, got to breakfast, got told off for not being there with the team :-)

Didn’t feel like much, so a little bacon and eggs and back up to the room, did some more email, wrote a release for an injured player who’s going home tomorrow, then hit the gym.

Quick shower, then time for lunch, then straight down here for shoot around. Shot some video today rather than stills. Walked down here with Jack and had a good chat on the way. We just wandered, but it’s REALLY hot today and sweating like crazy is the order of the day. As the boys are demonstrating currently.

Once this is over, we’re heading back to the hotel for showers and then the “Wildcats Trivia Challenge”. Two teams, and the winning team gets drinks service from the losers until Wednesday, which is, at meals, any member of the winning team can request any member of the losing team to get them a drink. We’d better win…

Here’s Team Ronaldson (We’ll call them Team Loser)

Team Loser

And Team Rogers. (We’ll call them Team winner.) (Imagine me in that gap next to Fish.)

Yes, we won. Fish is a thinker, no doubt about it. And a reader.

Off to the gym again, then dinner, then the game.

Late game, which is a PITA.

They’re meant to start at 8:30, but after 9 seems to be the go due to the TV timeouts, etc.

The game before ours was interesting – the Japanese beat the Koreans, which was a major shock, kinda like Richmond beating Adelaide. (Go Tigers!)

There has been some monumentally awful refereeing in this tournament, a fair bit of it aimed at us, but last night the Koreans got a terrible call in the third, and the team walked off for 5 minutes. The Korean coach was crying in the hallway.

Assistant coach Connor Henry - a great bloke who gets VERY animated during games. Excellent bloke and great fun to watch.
